Punjab National Bank (PNB) has released a detailed notification for the recruitment of 750 Local Bank Officers (LBO) – JMGS-I across India. Eligible candidates can apply online from 03 November 2025 to 23 November 2025. The selection process includes Online Test, Screening, Language Proficiency Test, and Interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidate must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
• Graduation results must be declared on or before 23.11.2025.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification work experience in Clerical/Officer Cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank.
• Advance increments applicable for relevant prior experience (max 2 increments).

Local Language Proficiency

• Candidates must be proficient (read/write/speak) in the local language of the state applied for.
• Those who have not studied the local language in 10th/12th must qualify in the Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025)

Salary

Selected candidates will receive a starting pay in the range of
₹48,480 – ₹85,920 per month along with Dearness Allowance, HRA, Medical Benefits, and Pension as per bank policy.

Selection Stages

1. Online Written Test
   • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude – 25 Qs (25 Marks)
   • Data Analysis & Interpretation – 25 Qs (25 Marks)
   • English Language – 25 Qs (25 Marks)
   • Quantitative Aptitude – 25 Qs (25 Marks)
   • General/Economy/Banking Awareness – 50 Qs (50 Marks)
     (Negative marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer)
2. Screening of Documents
3. Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
   – Qualifying in nature; assesses local language reading, writing, and speaking skills.
4. Personal Interview (50 Marks)
   – Minimum Qualifying: 50% for General/EWS & 45% for SC/ST.
5. Final Merit
   – Based on performance in Online Test + Interview, subject to LLPT qualification.
