A total of 650 Assistant vacancies are announced across various RBI offices in India. Eligible candidates can apply online from 16 February 2026 to 08 March 2026 through the official website. Selection will be done through Prelims, Mains, and Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks
• SC/ST/PwBD: Pass class
• Knowledge of word processing on computer
• Proficiency in local/state language of the applied RBI office

Nationality

• Indian Citizen / Nepal / Bhutan / Tibetan Refugee / PIO (as per RBI rules)

Age Limit (As on 01-02-2026)

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 28 Years

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST – 5 Years
• OBC – 3 Years
• PwBD – Up to 15 Years
• Ex-Servicemen – As per rules
• Widows/Divorced Women – Up to 35 Years

RBI Assistant Salary 2026

• Basic Pay: ₹29,000/- per month
• Pay Scale: ₹29000 – 78640
• Gross Monthly Salary: Approx. ₹58,514/- (excluding HRA)
• Additional allowances: DA, HRA, Medical, LTC, Pension, etc.

• Total: 100 Marks (60 Minutes)

• English – 40 Marks
• Numerical Ability – 40 Marks
• General Awareness – 40 Marks
• Computer Knowledge – 40 Marks
• Total: 200 Marks

Phase 3 – Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
