The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway has released an official notification (No. RRC/WR/04/2025 Apprentice dated 18/02/2026) for engagement of 5,349 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2025–26. Eligible candidates can apply online from 21 February 2026 to 23 March 2026 through the official website.
This is a great opportunity for ITI-qualified candidates to undergo apprenticeship training in various trades across Western Railway divisions and workshops.

Eligibility Criteria
📚 Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Passed 10th Class (Matriculation) with minimum 50% aggregate marks under 10+2 system from a recognized board.
- Possess ITI Certificate in relevant trade affiliated to NCVT.
🔧 Eligible ITI Trades
Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter, Diesel Mechanic, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Wireman, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic, Plumber, Draftsman (Civil), Stenographer (English), PASSA (COPA), Forger & Heat Treater, Machinist Grinder, etc.
❌ Engineering Graduates and Diploma Holders are not eligible.
Age Limit (As on 23/03/2026)
- Minimum Age: 15 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per rules

Stipend

Selection Process
Selection will be based on:
- Merit List prepared on the basis of average percentage of marks in Matriculation (with minimum 50%) and ITI (equal weightage).
- No Written Exam.
- No Interview.
In case of tie:
- Older candidate preferred.
- If DOB same, earlier Matric pass candidate preferred.
